TOOLS REQUIRED: Needle nose pliers and a side cutters
BEFORE BEGINNING, ensure the power switch on the chair is in the off position and unplug the power cord . Allow the chair to sit for 10 minutes before proceeding.
1) Lay the backrest down by releasing the latch on the bottom of the back of the chair as shown below. Be careful not to let the backrest fall forward unsupported.

2) Lift up the footrest and place something to support it so you can access underneath.
3) Disconnect the "A" wire to the recline motor under the chair.

4) Remove the pin holding the recline motor to the chair frame and cut the zip ties holding the wires to the chair frame as shown below.

5) Move to the back of the chair and locate the cotter pin holding the rear assembly to the frame and remove it. The unit will now be free and you can remove it by sliding it forward out of the front of the chair.
